Starting a new feature by participating in Rebecca Cooper’s Simple as That Sunday project. It’s all about capturing the everyday – my favorite thing to capture. Capturing these spontaneous moments like the pure job on Katie’s face as she paints her masterpiece was priceless. As she gets older I’m loving getting to discover what she’s all about. Here’s a kid that loves making things – painting, drawing, books, cards, printing out pictures – Huh! I wonder where she gets this from. One of her favorite things to do is running to Michael’s with me on the weekend to refill her crafting supplies. And her favorite pastime with me is creating together. I remember as a kid I was always creating as well – macrame (when was the last time you heard of that!), latch hook, crocheting, knitting, woodworking… It doesn’t mean that I was very good at any of these but my parents did their best in showcasing my masterpieces. I am eternally grateful that my parents still have a woodworking fish plaque on their wall that I made when I was in 6th grade!
